Chapter 334: False Buddha
Chapter 334: False Buddha
"Really?! Please don't leave me behind! I also want to--"
"Your Majesty is so merciful that you are willing to save us from the sea of suffering!"
"May the Queen bless you, may the Queen bless you..."
The delirium of ecstasy had not yet emerged from his throat.
The thin man who spoke first suddenly had bulged eyes and his Adam's apple rolled violently, and a pair of jade-like hands stretched out from his mouth - the ten fingers of these hands were as thin as peeled onions, but the fingertips had long dark blue nails, which glowed like snake scales in the moonlight.
The delicate and soft fingertips groped and pinched the jaw. With a "swish", no more difficult than tearing a piece of torn straw paper, the sallow face was split in half right down the middle.
What gushed out immediately afterwards was not a fountain of blood, but a sticky chewing sound. In the red mud, a compassionate face of Buddha emerged, and a figure two meters tall emerged, crawling out from the pool of scarlet flesh and blood.
But it was seen wearing a gilded lotus crown with agate inlaid on it oozing pus and blood. It was wearing a tattered brocade robe with lotus patterns embroidered with gold thread crawling with maggots.
The Buddha's face, which should have had a kind look, now had a wax-like luster, and the corners of his mouth were cracked to his earlobes, revealing two rows of fine, sharp teeth.
The most horrifying thing was the pair of drooping eyes. The eyelids were decorated with gold foil, and the pupils were like glass beads covered with a layer of gray, which made a clicking sound like the friction between joints when they moved.
At this moment, the old woman next to her seemed to have noticed something strange. Her cloudy eyes widened. She was about to scream, but she saw several fleshy whiskers suddenly sprouted from the back of the "Buddha's" neck, and at the end of each whisker was an eyeball the size of a baby's fist.
These pupils, some round, some vertical, some blue, some red, all turned towards the old woman at the moment, reflecting millions of distorted and howling human faces in the pupils. In an instant, the fear on the old woman's face turned into fanaticism.
"The Bodhisattva has appeared! Please take me to the paradise—"
As the wide sleeves of the "Bodhisattva" fluttered, half of her blue-gray arm was exposed. Her skin was covered with honeycomb-like holes, and half of a white finger bone protruded from each hole.
In an instant, the old woman's body seemed to be pulled by an invisible force. Her feet left the ground and she floated towards the demon involuntarily. The "Buddha" stretched out a hand and grabbed the old woman's head like a pair of iron clamps. With a slight twist, the crisp sound of the neck breaking mixed with the sound of the skull shattering echoed in the ruined temple. The old woman's neck broke like a dead branch, her head drooped weakly, and her body went limp.
But the "Bodhisattva" did not give up. It opened its mouth wide and bit off the old woman's head. While swallowing, its lower jaw dislocated and dropped like a snake, revealing layers of sharp ring-shaped teeth in its throat. It made a creepy "crunch" sound while chewing. Blood dripped down its jade-carved chin and went down its stomach. Blood formed blood lotuses on the front of its robes, leaving only a few sparse white hairs floating down.
The old man had already collapsed to the ground in fear, his legs shaking like sieves. Suddenly he started laughing foolishly and kowtowed to the "Buddha" who was about to eat him.
"My Lady, please save me from this sea of suffering! I will never be attacked by demons again..."
There were several human-shaped bumps bulging on the monster's back, as if countless wronged souls were trying to break through the spinal patterns painted in gold lacquer.
The miraculous "Bodhisattva" took a few steps to the old man and stepped on his back. The monk's shoes embroidered with swastika patterns suddenly cracked, revealing a three-toed animal foot with scarlet flesh stuck between the toes.
The old man's spine broke with a "crack" under the tremendous pressure. The "Buddha" leaned over, tore open the old man's chest with his hands, took out the still beating heart, put it into his mouth and devoured it. The old man's body twitched a few times and then there was no movement.
The children were so scared that they huddled together, crying and shouting in fear, their eyes filled with despair and fear, and they were puzzled by the adults' behavior.
Among them, the little girl was grabbed by the demon's tentacles by her ankles, lifted up high, and shaken violently like a rattle. The child's body twisted in mid-air and blood kept spitting out of her mouth.
The little girl's face turned red as she struggled desperately. Her delicate hands clawed at the air. Her big eyes were filled with tears. She kept muttering, spitting out blood: "Mother! Mother! I'm scared..."
"You monster! Let go of Arya!"
The boy was terrified, but he still rushed forward waving the stick he had picked up.
The "Buddha" smiled evilly and slammed the boy's head against the wall. With a "bang", the child's head burst instantly, red and white objects splattered all over the wall, and the small body fell like a kite with a broken string.
Other children were not spared.
The "Bodhisattva" stretched out its long tongue, which was like a tough rope, and wrapped around the children's waists. It pulled hard, and the tender bodies were instantly torn in half. The intestines flowed all over the floor, and blood gushed out.
It cruelly put them into its mouth one by one. In an instant, the children's crying stopped, leaving only dead silence. When it chewed the children's remains, the golden rings hanging on its earlobes suddenly opened - they were two eyeballs rolling with blood dripping.
Silence returned to the world, and the shadow lying on the ground suddenly grew hands, which lifted up the tattered skin and pieced it together.
It stood up shakily, dragging its two legs that seemed out of control, and moved to the center of the temple. Amid the sound of water piercing the night, its sharp laughter rang out.
"Hehehe...I have received the wishes of the believers..."
The monk had a compassionate look on his face, and his complexion was a little ruddy: "Infinite life and blessings, guiding believers is a great deed."
After enjoying the blood meal, the "Bodhisattva" sat upright in the shrine, like a statue sitting high on an altar, but the gold paint on its body peeled off in the moonlight, revealing the purple-blue rotten flesh underneath.
Its drooping eyes looked down upon all the creatures, while in its mouth it held a plump piece of meat. After sucking on it carefully to enjoy the taste, it still felt unsatisfied, and stretched out its tongue to greedily lick around it a few times until it licked every drop of juice left by the believer.
As if thinking of the role he is playing, the "Bodhisattva" makes the "Wish-granting Mudra" and "Fearlessness Mudra", and retracts his mouth that is almost grinning to his eyes, showing a compassionate look again.
Its hands, which are in seals, look like they are carved from white jade, but in fact there are webbed membranes between the knuckles. Whenever it chants the Buddha's name, cherry-like cracks will appear on the palms, and its forked tongue will lick the blood.
The candlelight cast its shadow on the earthen wall, and the silhouette, which should have been solemn, was distorted into the appearance of a centipede, with its segmented appendages rustling and crawling on the wall.
"Pray..." It opened and closed its golden lips, but pieces of flesh and bones kept falling from between its teeth.
"Pray for peace, pray for health, pray for prosperity..."
"Hehehe, jump in..."
The necklace around her neck trembled as she spoke. What was strung among them were not Buddhist beads at all, but dozens of human heads shrunk to the size of date pits, each of which emitted a scream as thin as that of a mosquito or fly.
"Jump into the gutter, jump into the dye vat, jump into the abyss... hehehe..."
------
Wuliangshoufu: It is a special term for blessing believers, also called "Wulianshou Buddha", used by Buddhism and Taoism. In order to distinguish it from Buddhism, Taoism later changed it to "Fusheng Wuliangtianzun".
The Mudra of Wishes: This means that the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas can grant the wishes of sentient beings and make all the wishes of sentient beings come true. This seal has the meaning of compassion, so it is often used in conjunction with the Mudra of Abhaya.
The Fearlessness Mudra represents the Buddha’s great compassion to save all living beings. It is said to make all living beings feel at peace and fearless, so it is called the Fearlessness Mudra.
