Chapter 228 Chaos (1)
Chapter 228 Chaos (1)
Time goes back to one day ago, in a fallen community five kilometers away from the Alexander community.
Rick and Sean found a house in the corner of the community and imprisoned the Savior prisoners in the basement.
The torture process was quite bloody. The captives who had lost some limbs were feces and urine all over the place. Rick was wiping the bloody knives on the table, and Sean was washing the floor with a bucket of water.
Next to him, the silent prisoner lowered his head, his exposed feet had lost more than half of their toes, and the rest had been beaten into pancake shapes by a blunt object.
"Is it necessary to go through so much trouble? Can't we just go to another place next time?"
Sean complained to Rick about the cleanup, which he thought was unnecessary.
"Next time we come here, a fixed safe house will always be useful."
Rick looked toward the window above the basement. The sunlight outside shone on the corners of the house. The shadows of pairs of zombie calves were swaying on the dusty glass.
"I'll go outside and clean them up. You find something to soundproof them. We can't let the zombies hear the noise and come over every time."
Rick walked towards the stairs leading to the first floor. In his equipment bag was a silenced pistol and subsonic ammunition.
Sean put down the bucket and followed Rick without saying a word. Rick's mentality was different from before. As Rick's brother, Sean would not let this guy go on an adventure alone no matter what.
"Don't even think about taking action on your own, you bastard," Sean cursed behind Rick's back.
The two returned to the first floor and took out their weapons. Sean took an MP5 submachine gun with a suppressor. After carefully checking the magazine and bolt, he said to Rick:
"Let's go out through the main gate together?"
"Of course, pay attention to their numbers. If there is danger, we will run to the parking spot and drive them away." Rick said.
Sean and Rick looked at each other in tacit understanding, and both nodded at the same time, ready to act.
They didn't want to waste too much time outside. Now that the main task had been done, it was time to return to Alexandria and tell Maggie the information they had obtained through torture.
Rick looked around the living room. On the drawn curtains on all four sides of the house, the shadows of the zombies outside the house were swaying. It seemed that the screams of the captives had attracted a lot of zombies.
Compared to the slight danger facing the zombies, Rick did not want to expose his cruel side to Carl, so he and Sean took great pains to find a "safe house" outside to work.
In fact, Rick also knew that Carl had grown up, and that the school in the Destiny Front would cultivate an extremely mature mentality in children. He even suspected that Carl had the blood of living people on his hands, but Carl had never dared to tell him and Lori.
Although Rick has his doubts, none of the above affects his behavior as a father who wants to protect his children.
Rick walked towards the door, and the wooden door was being bumped against intentionally or unintentionally by the zombies outside.
Long periods of decay have not deprived the zombies of their instinctive cognition, and some "smart" individuals can still understand the meaning of "door".
Rick winked at Sean, who nodded heavily and aimed his MP5 at the door.
Rick immediately turned the doorknob, opened the door and stepped behind it.
A foul smell of decay wafted in from outside, and several zombies, their bodies covered in rotten flesh and with many bones exposed outside their bodies, appeared at the door.
"Roar! Roar... "
The zombies were startled by the noise of the door opening. Their sluggish bodies sped up a bit and they actually trotted towards Sean who was inside the door.
Chug tug tug! !
Facing these terrifying humanoid monsters, Sean just pulled the trigger, and a burst of 9mm ammunition shot out from the muzzle of the suppressor. The heads of the four zombies became mutilated, and blood splattered. In less than two seconds, they all fell to the ground.
"The door is secure."
Without the zombies blocking his view, Sean immediately saw the overgrown lawn outside the door. Now they could go out.
Rick pulled himself out from the gap behind the door with a silenced pistol in his hand. He strode out, and Sean followed closely behind him. Then he took out the key and locked the door.
"Just leave here, there's no need to waste time with them."
Sean threw the car keys to Rick, and the car stopped on the side of the road. The two of them just drove away and led the zombies away.
Rick turned around and caught the car keys with one hand, but did not walk towards the car. He continued to approach the zombies around the house with his pistol in hand. Many zombies had noticed him and Sean, and these swaying figures were surrounding the house from all directions.
sudden! sudden!
Rick wasn't fast in turning the gun and pulling the trigger, but his movements were steady, and each shot would accurately blow up a zombie's head.
"Roar!!"
The roars of the zombies became louder, and dozens of zombies responded to each other, forming a group. Their pace was getting faster, and their dry and rotten leg muscles seemed to have some strength left, allowing them to move faster.
In Rick's ears, Sean's shouting suddenly became very low, and his mind was filled with the roar of the zombies, and...
"Rick, stop doing this. Carl needs your help."
A familiar voice appeared in Rick's mind. It was his deceased wife, Lori.
A pair of big hands suddenly grabbed Rick's shoulders from behind. Rick came to his senses and found Sean yelling beside him and slapping his cheek with his hands.
"Rick! Fuck you! Are you crazy! What are you doing!!"
Sean was sticking to Rick's face and spitting at him. A skinny female zombie was staggering towards Sean's back. Rick saw everything when he turned around.
Rick raised his gun indifferently at Sean.
"Fuck! What are you going to do?!"
A look of shock appeared on Sean's face, but he instantly became determined. He also raised the MP5 in his hand towards Rick.
Ta-da! Ta-da!
At the moment of shooting, the two men changed positions on the spot, walked away from each other, and shot the zombies approaching from behind each other.
The roaring zombies' heads exploded and fell to the ground. Rick and Sean stopped after crossing their positions. They took a step back, stood back to back, turned around and started shooting the zombies in other directions.
The delay just now allowed the zombies to completely surround the two of them and their car. Unless they rushed into the zombie group with all their might and used brute force to break through the zombies' defense line, there was no way the two of them could escape from the spot!
Even when running towards the car, the zombies would seize the opportunity to get close to the two.
The two of them had to kill at least half of the zombies in front of them before they could get into the car safely. Otherwise, there was no telling how many rotten hands would get stuck in the car door, leaving them with no peace of mind.
"Sean! Don't save your ammunition! Lori told me Carl is in danger! We have to save him!!"
Rick suddenly yelled nervously.
"what?!"
Sean couldn't accept Rick's words. Lori was obviously dead...
