Chapter 46 Chunhua Tower (3)

Chapter 46 Chunhua Tower (3)

"Little Fuzi, do the sisters know him?" Seeing that the four of them didn't speak, Lin Ziping repeated himself.

Dongxue said, "Is he a friend of the young master? How old is he? There are quite a few servants and attendants in Chunhua Tower, and there are several named Xiao Fuzi. I wonder which one Young Master Ziping is referring to?"

“Yes, there are quite a few people at Chunhua Tower. Young Master Ziping, tell us what Xiao Fuzi looks like, and see if we recognize her,” Xia Bi said with a smile.

Lin Ziping glanced at Chunfan. The little girl seemed to be about to say something but was interrupted by Dongxue. Could it be that Xiaofuzi is not an ordinary waiter?

“He’s probably a little older than me. We’ve met once, but we’re not really friends. He was the one who showed me the way when I got lost last time. I was thinking if my sisters know him, I should ask him out so I can thank him in person,” Lin Ziping said, pretending to be nonchalant.

"Young Master Ziping is truly kind-hearted. I was just pointing out the way; how could I possibly deserve your concern and gratitude in person?" Dongxue said, covering her mouth and nose with a handkerchief.

"Oh, this is no small matter. If it weren't for him that day, I might have gotten lost. Thinking about the kidnapping case that caused such a stir a while ago, who knows, I might have ended up like that too?" Lin Ziping looked terrified.

The four were taken aback, and Qiu Feng was the first to react: "Young Master, please don't joke."

"So I have to thank Xiao Fuzi properly, and I also need to ask my four older sisters to keep an eye out for me," Lin Ziping said with a sweet smile and earnestness.

"Alright, alright, we'll keep an eye out for you. But how will you thank us once we find Young Master Ziping?" Dongxue said with a smile.

"I'll treat my sister to dinner," Lin Ziping said without hesitation.

Winter snow, autumn maple, and summer green chuckled.

Lin Ziping looked at Chunfan: "Sister Chunfan, they don't believe me, so you have to keep a close eye on things for me. I'll treat you to something delicious later."

Chunfan looked up at Lin Ziping and clenched the handkerchief in her hand: "Okay...okay...Young Master Ziping."

Just then, there was a knock on the door.

"Please come in," Lin Ziping said.

The door opened, and Lady Yun came in carrying a tray.

"My lady." Dongxue and the others stood up and bowed.

Dongxue took the tray from Yunniangzi and placed it on the table.

"Greetings, young master." Lady Yun curtsied to Lin Ziping.

Lin Ziping stood up and bowed respectfully, saying, "Sister Yun."

"Young Master, are you hungry? Here, have some noodles." Madam Yun picked up a bowl from the tray and handed it to Lin Ziping.

Lin Ziping took it; it was a small bowl of noodles with a few fresh green vegetables on top: "Thank you, Sister Yun."

"How did these young masters get so drunk?" Lady Yun looked at the group slumped over the table. "Dongxue, go and tell the kitchen to prepare some hangover soup."

Dongxue bowed and walked outside.

"Sister Yun, this is our first time at Chunhua Tower, and the guests are a little tipsy. Please excuse us," Lin Ziping said, putting down his bowl of noodles. "Could you please send someone home to pick us up, or arrange for a carriage to take us?"

"Young master, don't worry, I've already arranged for someone to inform your family," said Lady Yun.

How did Lady Yun inform him? Lin Ziping wondered, but he thanked Lady Yun aloud.

Lady Yun had her servants wake up Ji Xun, Fang Zhili, and the others. The five of them drank a bowl of hangover soup while still half-asleep before they were fully awake.

"Lin Ziping." Zhang Mo was the first to regain consciousness and called out to Lin Ziping when he saw him.

"Hmm, you're awake. Have something to eat." Lin Ziping placed the noodles on the tray in front of Zhang Mo.

Lin Ziping then placed the other items in front of the others.

Lady Yun led the four girls, Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter, and their servants out. Now only Lin Ziping and the others were left in the room. After they regained their senses, they drank some water and began to eat the noodles in front of them.

"Eat quickly, then you can go home."

Ji Xun looked up: "Lin Ziping, you notified our family?!"

The others also glared angrily at Lin Ziping, their eyes seemingly filled with condemnation.

"It wasn't me, it was Chunfeng Academy that notified us." Lin Ziping refused to take the blame.

"How did Chunfeng Courtyard know where our home is?" Fang Zhili asked.

"Yes," "That's right," the others agreed with Fang Zhili's words.

Lin Ziping took a sip of water: "Believe it or not, eat up, you might have to suffer again when you get back."

He Jinbao said with a long face, "When we get back, we'll definitely get a meal of stir-fried bamboo shoots with pork."

"Eat quickly, you were prepared to be beaten before you came here," Zhao Xiancheng said.

Just as they finished eating, the parents of several families arrived. The group followed behind their parents dejectedly, glancing at Lin Ziping with a mournful look.

Lin Ziping pretended not to see and followed behind Lin Zhong, who was radiating a low-pressure atmosphere.

Back at the Lin residence, in Lin Zhong's study, Steward Tao and Granny Liao were both there, looking at Lin Ziping without saying a word.

Lin Ziping stood with his head down, closest to the door.

After an unknown amount of time, Lin Zhong sighed, "How could Ziping go to a place like that?"

"We were just curious, so we went to take a look with our classmates," Lin Ziping said in a low, almost inaudible voice.

"Don't go there again. Remember to tell your uncle if anything happens." Lin Zhong sighed again. "Go and rest now."

That's it? In the past, wouldn't his parents have gotten a good beating? Lin Ziping looked up at Lin Zhong's face, gave a casual bow, and ran off in a flash. When he returned to the courtyard, he realized that Granny Liao hadn't followed.

Lin Ziping didn't think much of it, figuring he might have run too fast and Liao Mama couldn't keep up.

"Master, what about the young master?" Granny Liao asked worriedly.

Lin Zhong rubbed his temples: "I used to think Ziping was much more sensible, but who knew he would be like this now, sigh."

"Qingyu, is the young master alright?" Butler Tao asked, looking at Granny Liao.

"I've checked carefully, and there's nothing wrong." Granny Liao shook her head. "Perhaps the shock of falling into the water was too great?"

Lin Zhong pondered for a moment and nodded: "Didn't Ziping not get along with those kids before? He even fought with the He and Zhang family kids last time. How come they're playing together again now, and even going to Chunhua Tower together?"

"They were probably with Magistrate Ji's son last time, and they played together," said Steward Tao. "These were the same children who visited the mansion last time."

"I thought Magistrate Ji's son and Prefect Fang's nephew were both reliable people."

“They’re just children after all,” Granny Liao said, frowning. “Young Master is a sensible child. I’ll talk to him when I get back.”

Before Lin Zhong could answer, Granny Liao turned and left, heading towards Lin Ziping's courtyard.

"Master." Seeing that Lin Zhong did not speak, Butler Tao placed a cup of tea on the desk.

Lin Zhong picked up the glass and took a sip: "Tao Xian, can falling into water really change a person so much?"

"Having gone through life and death, there must have been some changes, but no matter how much he changes, isn't he still the young master?" Butler Tao said.

“You’re right, no matter how things change, it’s still Ziping.” Lin Zhong nodded. “From now on, we’ll have Master Li teach him kung fu more carefully, and we’ll also start arranging his other studies.”

"Yes."
