Chapter 11 Seduction
Chapter 11 Seduction
When I sensed the familiar presence of those three people, my heart began to race, thanks to the muscle memory etched into Morse's body.
But I'm different now. Unlike before. I will no longer stand idly by and watch anyone torture me.
"It's time to pay the price," I muttered to myself, pretending not to notice their presence. After all, I needed them to complete today's task...
With that thought in mind, I left the training ground. By the time I left, it was already night, so most of the area was deserted.
However, I know they won't show themselves yet because they can't be caught on camera. After all, you can't do something like this in broad daylight unless you have a stronger backing than the academy.
This also means that they need to follow me temporarily until they reach my destination.
Arcadia Hunter Academy provides students with a vast land and a complete forest, where they can become one with nature.
I walked with a goal in mind, leaving subtle traces to attract their curiosity. Branches snapped at my feet, creating an eerie and unsettling atmosphere that echoed through the bushes.
"Did you hear that?" one of them asked in a low voice, his voice trembling with unease.
“This is just a rumor. What could possibly happen to us at the academy?” another person replied.
I heard their whispers growing louder as they followed behind me, their excessive confidence fueling their quickening pace.
As we ventured deeper, the forest enveloped us, creating an atmosphere of suspense and uncertainty. Shadows danced among the dense foliage.
The rustling leaves seemed to whisper secrets and warnings, but they remained oblivious to the impending danger. After all, no one could have foreseen what was about to happen...
Finally, we arrived at a secluded clearing, where the forest was completely silent.
"Hahaha, look who's here?" A mocking voice echoed in the dim forest. I turned my gaze toward the source of the voice, only to find myself surrounded by three figures.
"Ah...yes, these are the guys...the ones who tortured me." I thought to myself as I saw the faces of the three people, two men and one woman.
The leader, Dylan Miller, a burly savage with a sneer, stepped forward. "What are you, trash, doing here? You think training will make you fight us? You bug."
This is a simple and clichéd line that can be found everywhere. However, hearing it stirred my blood, because it reminded me of Morse's experience, both from Morse's perspective and from the observer's perspective.
Although this guy in front of me gave me a lot of trouble, he's actually not that impressive. In fact, he's only ranked around 2000th in the academy.
The girl standing behind them, Sophia Lawson, urged them on, her voice laced with seductive undertones. "Stop wasting your breath on him, teach him a lesson, and make him understand his place."
This girl is the reason they're targeting me. After all, Morse rejected her confession in the first place, and she felt that such a thing shouldn't happen in her life. Her fragile ego was hurt, and then she started manipulating these people, making me her target.
I responded calmly, "I have the right to train, just like everyone else. If you have any problems, you can go to the academy, not me." But I knew that wouldn't stop them. After all, people like them can do whatever they want as long as they have a little backing or consider someone inferior to them.
My body is exhausted, but I know this battle is unavoidable.
Leader Dylan burst into laughter. "Listen to what this little mouse is saying. Does he think he's so great? Well, let's see what he's got."
When I heard that, I knew an attack was coming.
"He's bound to throw his right fist," I thought, recalling what I'd observed from the necklace in the past.
Before I could react, Dylan lunged at me, intending to deliver a powerful blow. But I was prepared; I quickly dodged his attack and retaliated by striking his head.
'boom'
I retaliated swiftly, striking his unsuspecting side, causing him to shudder in pain. Weapons were strictly prohibited within the academy, so I did not draw my dagger.
"what!"
However, my attack hit his pressure points, causing him excruciating pain and hallucinations.
'bang bang bang'
But I didn't stop there. Instead, I continued to strike his head repeatedly and rapidly.
Each punch was powerful and resounding, knocking him to the ground and unable to get up.
"Huh?" The other two were surprised to see the bastard lying on the ground, unable to move.
"You bastard!"
Just then, another man, Mason, lunged at me from behind, trying to catch me off guard. I quickly spun around, dodging his attack, and his fist struck a tree with a loud bang.
'boom'
However, at that moment, I saw Sofia's eyes suddenly light up. She was using a skill.
My movements became sluggish, and I felt my consciousness fading.
"This Sophia is using some kind of telepathic ability on me," I thought to myself.
"You bastard...you insist on resisting, don't you?"
As I heard the sound of a branch snapping, I saw Dylan, the leader, lunging at me. At that moment, I knew I could only do one thing.
I stabbed myself with a dagger to make myself feel pain. Although it hurt a lot, I regained consciousness.
"It seems the lesson learned last time wasn't enough."
Dylan's face was contorted with sadistic excitement as he unleashed his magic. An energy enveloped his body, enhancing his speed and strength, and he hurtled towards me.
'boom'
He closed the distance between us with lightning speed, his fist striking my side. I tried to block it, but I wasn't strong enough. The impact sent waves of pain through my body, causing me to stagger backward.
My vision blurred, and the taste of blood filled my mouth.
As time went on, my opponent's movements became increasingly fluid and precise. He effortlessly dodged my attacks and countered with devastating blows. My body was covered in wounds, and I could hardly keep up with the intensity of the fight.
Dylan sneered menacingly, "How about it? You bug, you think you can handle us?"
As he spoke, he punched me in the face.
A deep red magical power enveloped my thoughts, and I felt my thoughts were transforming into something else.
Sofia interjected, "You're nothing but pathetic trash, no wonder you're ranked last."
Mason struggled to regain his composure and roared, "This is what happens when you look down on us, Morse. You should know your place."
“Trash is always trash,” Sofia scoffed, her voice laced with contempt.
As soon as she finished speaking, she spat at me.
The crimson magic intensified.
Dylan sneered, a cruel glint in his eyes. "You think you can fight us? Ridiculous."
Mason's voice was full of superiority as he added, "Never forget your place, Morse Scott. We've been watching you."
Dylan, Sophia, and Mason's voices were filled with arrogant satisfaction as they turned and left, basking in the glory of their victory.
Pain surged through my body, yet a scornful smile crept onto my lips.
"Hehehe..." I chuckled, a hint of disdain in my voice, which caught their attention. They paused, turned around, and looked on with puzzled expressions.
"What are you laughing at?" Dylan sneered, his eyes narrowing.
"I've activated the mechanism..." At that moment, I could no longer suppress the crimson thoughts swirling within me. After all, I no longer needed them, because they had already prepared the stage for me.
My blood, flowing on the ground, has attracted the monsters below...
