Chapter 383: The Mysterious Adventure in the Ghost Castle
After leaving the magic market, Liu Yu and the others continued their journey. Soon, they arrived before a sinister and terrifying ghost castle. The castle stood on a barren piece of land, surrounded by a dense forest. The branches and leaves of the trees rustled in the wind, as if whispering secrets about the castle. The castle soared into the clouds, its walls covered in moss, which appeared particularly eerie in the dim light. A thick fog permeated the area, drifting like a thin veil, shrouding the castle in mystery and giving it a chilling feel.
"This place looks kind of scary, it's giving me the creeps." Pigsy shrank back, hiding behind Liu Yu. His round body trembled incessantly, his face full of fear.
Looking at the castle, Liu Yu said with a firm gaze, "Since we're here, let's make the best of it and go in for a look." His voice was steady and powerful, trying to give everyone some courage.
The group cautiously entered the castle, and as soon as they stepped inside, they heard a sinister laugh. The laughter echoed throughout the empty castle, seemingly coming from all directions, making it impossible to discern which way was being heard.
"Hahaha, another fearless person has come knocking on our door." The voice was full of evil and mockery.
Xiaoqing gripped Bai Suzhen's arm tightly, her voice trembling as she said, "Sister, I'm scared." Her face was pale, and her eyes were filled with terror.
At that moment, a group of ghosts emerged from the darkness, their claws bared and their forms varied. Some ghosts had mutilated bodies, while others had distorted and deformed faces, sending chills down one's spine.
"Don't be afraid, I'm here." Liu Yu said, preparing to cast a spell. He clasped his hands together, chanted incantations, and emitted a faint light.
Just then, Xiao Tian pulled a glittering bell from his green underpants, shook it gently, and the bell rang clear and melodious. The sound seemed to possess a magical power, spreading through the air.
The ghosts froze upon hearing the bell, their movements becoming sluggish. Their bodies swayed in the air, seemingly bewitched by the sound.
"Now's the time, run!" Liu Yu shouted. He grabbed Xiao Qing's hand and led the way, running deeper into the castle.
The group fled through the castle and came to a large hall. Inside were various strange statues, some with ferocious faces, others with sinister and terrifying expressions. The statues' expressions were so lifelike, as if they might come to life at any moment.
"What are all these things?" Pigsy was too frightened to look any further. He followed closely behind the group, his eyes constantly darting around.
Suddenly, the statues' eyes glowed red, and they began to move. Their movements were stiff and slow, yet filled with menace.
"Oh no, these statues have come to life!" Xiaoqing exclaimed. Her voice echoed in the hall, adding to the fear.
The statues approached them step by step, about to surround them. Their footsteps were heavy, making a dull thud on the ground.
Xiao Tian then pulled something that looked like a balloon from his green underwear and threw it forcefully. The balloon instantly expanded, becoming a giant transparent dome that enveloped the statues. The statues struggled inside the balloon, trying to break free of their confinement.
"Haha, let's see how you get out now." Pigsy laughed triumphantly. He patted his belly, a smug expression on his face.
They continued forward and entered a long corridor. On the walls on both sides of the corridor hung eerie portraits, some of the figures with distorted faces and others with empty eyes, as if they were watching them.
"This painting is really unsettling to look at," Liu Yu said, frowning. He quickened his pace, wanting to get through the corridor as quickly as possible.
As they were talking, the figures in the painting suddenly jumped out of the painting and pounced on them. Some of the figures bared their teeth and claws, while others let out shrill screams.
The crowd was terrified and quickly dodged. They ran back and forth in the corridor, avoiding the attacks of the portrait figures.
Xiao Tian remained calm, pulled a small fan from his green underpants, and gently waved it at the figures. A gust of wind swept by, blowing the figures back into the painting. The portrait returned to its tranquil state, as if nothing had happened.
"Xiao Tian, you have so many magical treasures!" Bai Suzhen said with a smile. Her face was full of admiration.
They entered the depths of the castle, where there was a huge room with a black treasure chest in the center. The chest was inlaid with various gems and emitted a mysterious light.
Pigsy couldn't wait to run over and open the treasure chest. His eyes gleamed with greed, and his mouth was practically watering.
"Be careful, it might be a trap!" Liu Yu shouted. Before his voice had even faded, Zhu Bajie had already reached out and touched the treasure chest.
But it was too late. Just as Pigsy touched the treasure chest, it emitted a plume of black smoke. The smoke quickly spread, filling the entire room.
A gigantic ghost king emerged from the smoke, its body almost filling the entire room. The ghost king's face was indistinct, but it exuded a powerful aura of evil.
"Insignificant humans, how dare you offend my treasure!" the Ghost King roared. Its voice echoed like thunder in the room, making everyone's ears ring.
Liu Yu and the others unleashed their magic, engaging in a fierce battle with the Ghost King. Liu Yu's sword gleamed, each swing carrying immense power; Bai Suzhen's magic was as cold as ice and snow, freezing part of the Ghost King's body; Xiao Qing's bells rang crisply, interfering with the Ghost King's movements; and Zhu Bajie wielded his nine-toothed rake, fiercely attacking the Ghost King.
The Ghost King was incredibly powerful; every attack it launched caused the castle to tremble. With a wave of its hands, it would unleash a powerful storm that sent everyone staggering about.
Just as everyone was starting to lose, Xiao Tian pulled a small bottle out of his green underwear. The bottle was covered with mysterious runes and emitted a faint light.
He opened the bottle cap, and a powerful suction force emanated from inside, pulling the Ghost King into it. The Ghost King struggled desperately, its body gradually deforming under the suction.
"Haha, Xiao Tian, you've done a great job again!" Pigsy patted Xiao Tian's head and said. His face was full of excitement, as if he had already forgotten the danger he had just faced.
They opened the treasure chest, which was filled with gold, silver, and precious magical artifacts. The treasures gleamed, and the artifacts exuded a mysterious aura.
"I'm rich! I'm rich!" Pigsy excitedly jumped into the treasure chest and rolled around in the treasure.
Just then, the castle began to shake violently, as if it were about to collapse. Cracks appeared in the walls, and stones began to fall.
"Oh no, let's go!" Liu Yu shouted. He grabbed Pigsy, who was still in the treasure chest, and ran towards the exit.
The group hurriedly ran out, carrying the contents of the treasure chest. However, the exit was blocked by a huge boulder. The boulder was enormous, blocking their path.
"What should we do?" Xiaoqing said anxiously. Her face was full of anxiety, and she didn't know what to do.
Xiao Tian pulled something that looked like a bomb from his green underwear and threw it at the stone. With a "boom," the stone shattered into pieces. Shards flew everywhere, raising a cloud of dust.
The group finally escaped the castle. Behind them, the castle collapsed with a deafening roar, raising a cloud of dust.
"That was really close!" Liu Yu said, wiping the sweat from his forehead. His face was exhausted, but his eyes revealed a hint of excitement.
"But it was also very exciting!" Pigsy said with a laugh, still clutching a pile of treasure in his arms. A satisfied smile spread across his face, as if the adventure had been worthwhile.
They continued on their journey, unaware of where the next adventure awaited them...
