Chapter 250 I Don't Like Him Calling You Sister
“Fool…” Jiang Chengcheng felt a warmth in her heart upon hearing Sirius’s words, but couldn’t help but frown as she spoke.
"Sweetie, go to sleep early." Sirius murmured in response to Jiang Chengcheng's reply, then patted her shoulder, indicating that she should rest.
the next day.
Sirius woke up quickly, alerted by his biological clock.
"Are you going to work?" Jiang Chengcheng rubbed her eyes and looked at Sirius, who was getting up beside her.
“Yes, there’s another interview later, you should get some more sleep,” Sirius said, patting Jiang Chengcheng’s head.
"Hmm. So what time do you plan to work?" Jiang Chengcheng didn't try to persuade her to stay any longer; work-related matters were indeed hard to discuss.
"It ended around 10 o'clock." Since Jiang Chengcheng hadn't notified Sirius in advance when she arrived, his work schedule was still quite full.
"Okay, then I'll sleep a little longer..." Jiang Chengcheng said in a thick nasal voice, soft and a little hoarse, as if she hadn't fully woken up yet.
"Okay, be a good girl and wait for me to come back." Upon hearing Jiang Chengcheng's words, Sirius kissed her forehead with extra affection, his eyes full of smiles.
"Okay." Jiang Chengcheng felt a sweet warmth in her heart as she felt the touch on her forehead.
Because of the nature of Sirius's work, he was usually busy and never stopped. Jiang Chengcheng waited until 10 o'clock, but he still hadn't returned. She asked around and was told that she would have to wait a while longer.
Feeling a bit bored, she simply downloaded the international version of Honor of Kings and started playing.
Because she was unfamiliar with the settings, Jiang Chengcheng didn't even realize that her voice was on.
Just as she was beginning to get used to the hero's controls and was playing a back-and-forth game, the door suddenly opened and Sirius walked in.
"Sorry, something unexpected happened. I'm sorry to have kept you waiting. Are you hungry?" Sirius walked in hurriedly, still explaining why he was late, when he saw Jiang Chengcheng lying on the bed, engrossed in playing a game.
"Oh, it's nothing, I'm not hungry." During a team battle, Jiang Chengcheng glanced at Sirius outside the door, replied, and then returned to her game world.
"What are you playing?" Sirius wasn't annoyed by Jiang Chengcheng's appearance. He simply hung his coat on the hanger and walked towards her.
"King, I just downloaded the international version out of boredom. What else can I play besides this?" Jiang Chengcheng looked at Sirius and leaned closer to him as usual, which was a bit of a coquettish gesture. The two had been talking for a while, so Sirius naturally knew some of Jiang Chengcheng's hobbies.
"Really? Teach me?" Sirius looked at Jiang Chengcheng playing with great enthusiasm and couldn't help but feel curious, wanting to try to integrate into her hobby.
"Oh? You want to play too? Then download the international version, and I'll teach you in a bit." Jiang Chengcheng raised an eyebrow in surprise when she heard this. She didn't expect that Sirius, as the leader of a country, would want to play online games.
Of course, Jiang Chengcheng had completely misunderstood Sirius. He didn't actually like playing online games; he was just trying to find out about Jiang Chengcheng's interests.
While Jiang Chengcheng and Sirius were talking, a somewhat familiar voice suddenly came from the phone.
"Huh? Rich girl? Is that you?" A man's voice came from the audio.
“???...Brother Cat?” Jiang Chengcheng was a little confused when she heard the familiar voice, but she recognized the person’s unique Chinese dialect.
"Hey! It really is you! No wonder your voice sounded so familiar! I didn't expect to run into you on the international server, what a coincidence! By the way! Who's next to you? Is that your boyfriend? He sounds like a foreign guy, not bad, sis!" Cat Bro knew he hadn't misheard Jiang Chengcheng's response.
"Wife, who is he?" Sirius frowned when he heard Cat Brother on the other end of the voice call him "little sister." He couldn't help but feel a little wary. As if to assert his ownership, he hugged Jiang Chengcheng's waist and whispered accusations in her ear.
"Ahem... a friend." Jiang Chengcheng felt the warm breath on her ear and replied with a light cough, her cheeks flushed.
"Really? I don't like him calling you 'sister'." Sirius had no intention of skipping the topic, deliberately raising his voice to make the cat-like guy on the other side back down. Judging from his expression, he clearly regarded the other as a potential rival.
"Wait... this is really your boyfriend? He understands Chinese? Dude, I'm just kidding, we're just friends." Cat Bro was just joking, but he never expected that he would hit the bullseye and raise Sirius's guard to a new high.
Upon hearing his attempt to make amends, Cat Bro's comment section was filled with merciless ridicule.
"Hahaha! Serves you right for being so cocky. Now you've got yourself in front of the real deal! Let's see how you handle this."
"Pfft~ All I can say is, serves him right~"
"Hahaha! I can't take it anymore! This is hilarious! This time, the rich girl didn't handle things well, and she even offended her husband!"
"Who says it isn't? Hahaha!"
"Cat Bro, are you trying to make me laugh to death so you can inherit my Alipay account?"
"Alright! Moderators, get back to work! Mute all those who are making fun of me for ten minutes!"
Cat Bro was completely taken aback when he saw the comments section filled with mockery, and said in a rather exasperated tone.
the other side.
Jiang Chengcheng finally managed to appease Sirius, but thinking about Cat Brother's work, she quickly turned off the voice chat. Although Sirius was a foreigner, Jiang Chengcheng was really afraid that someone might recognize him because of his job.
Originally, Cat Brother planned to invite the two of them to play a three-player game together, but Jiang Chengcheng didn't want to add a third wheel to her and Sirius's sweet duo game, so she refused without hesitation.
The two played for a while longer. Jiang Chengcheng looked at the time and realized it was already past eleven o'clock. She realized she hadn't eaten yet and felt a pang of hunger in her stomach.
"Sirius, what are we having for lunch?" Jiang Chengcheng asked Sirius beside her, rubbing her stomach after logging out of the game.
"How about borscht?" Sirius asked, considering Jiang Chengcheng's appetite.
"Okay, shall we eat here?" Jiang Chengcheng asked after putting on her coat and getting up.
The guest palace actually has a chef, but Jiang Chengcheng rarely eats here because she is not used to the etiquette and rules. However, she came at the wrong time; Sirius seems to be quite busy these past two days.
“Yes.” Sirius probably knew what Jiang Chengcheng was thinking. With a slight hint of apology on his face, he gently rubbed her forehead with his large hand.
"Okay." Although Jiang Chengcheng didn't really like eating here, she didn't want to cause Sirius any trouble, so she didn't say anything more.
