The Return of Stars to the Jianghu

Chapter 103 Human and Beast Meet Again: The Luo Sisters Reunite

Chapter 103 Human and Beast Meet Again: The Luo Sisters Reunite

When they opened their eyes again, they found themselves in a completely unfamiliar place.

This is a continent shrouded in mystery, with strange clouds floating in the sky and all sorts of exotic flowers and plants growing on the land.

They looked around, eager to learn everything about this new world.

Suddenly, they heard a strange sound, which seemed to be coming from a distance.

They followed the sound and found a dense forest ahead.

They ventured into the dense forest and discovered that the sound was coming from a cave.

They entered the cave and saw a huge stone tablet deep inside.

They carefully studied the ancient characters and patterns engraved on the stone tablet.

Suddenly, they discovered that these words and patterns bore a striking resemblance to the runes of the time tunnel.

“This should be the end of the time tunnel!” He Shihui said.

"What do these words and patterns mean?" Ji Mi asked.

“I suspect these words and patterns are explanations of the secrets and powers of the time tunnel,” He Shihui said.

So they began to study the texts and patterns in more detail, hoping to find more clues.

Just then, two monsters charged towards them.

Ji Mi drew his sword.

The two monsters stopped.

"Don't be afraid, I am Lonely Faith." The monster actually spoke.

He Shihui nodded and asked, "How did you end up like this?"

"It's all the Empress's doing. We encountered her as soon as we arrived here," the monster said.

……

In the Illusionary Continent, Qingzhou, Cai Kingdom, Luo Family Village.

Wen Bin sat in the grassy courtyard of the inn, drinking tea, with a stream flowing past him.

The stream is shallow; one can easily wade across it with just a step. On the opposite bank lies a vast, verdant meadow, stretching as far as the eye can see, like a thick green carpet draped over the earth. Further on, at the foot of the mountain, lies a dense forest, its lush trees teeming with life, giving one a sense of vibrant energy.

At the edge of the forest stand several mountain peaks. Though not towering into the clouds, they possess a unique charm. Their summits are lush and verdant, like emerald gems of nature. Looking further afield, the mountains appear even more majestic and imposing, their peaks capped with snow, like pure white crowns adorning this beautiful landscape.

This is Luo Family Inn, the only inn in a forgotten village, located on the edge of Qingzhou Cai Kingdom.

Wen Bin watched as a black dot appeared in the distant forest. The dot slowly grew larger and appeared on the grassland. From a distance, it could be seen that it was a horse.

As the horse drew closer, a beautiful woman could be seen riding it across the stream.

The woman was none other than Roland.

Roland walked up to Wen Bin and said, "Master, the investigation is complete. The appearance of the Soul-Summoning Bell was an accident; no powerful force was behind it. What do we do now?"

Wen Bin calmly took another sip of tea, nodded, and said, "Sit down and have some tea."

Roland looked at his master's shrewd and confident demeanor, and he was so anxious that he wanted to curse, but he held back.

He picked up the teapot, poured himself a cup and drank it all in one gulp. He poured himself several more cups, but the cups were too small, so he simply poured the tea from the pot into his mouth.

"Hey, that's not how you drink tea," Wen Bin shouted.

"I rushed back without stopping, I'm dying of thirst. Is there any more?" Roland had already drunk all the water in the pot.

“They have some in the store, just go get them yourself,” Wen Bin said.

Roland went into the inn.

Suddenly, a burst of light and mist appeared, revealing a woman who resembled Roland but was even more graceful and alluring, heavily made up and appearing bewitchingly beautiful.

"Master..." the woman said softly.

The voice was completely different from Roland's clean, crisp, and straightforward tone just now.

"Sister, you're back?" Roland took the kettle, walked out of the inn, and came into the courtyard.

"Roman, how is the situation?" Wen Bin asked.

"I failed. I tried seven times, even changing my appearance, but that girl had this unapproachable look, and it was really hard to get close to her. She clearly had a storage ring, but she insisted on carrying that big knife on her back. That knife was taller than her and so big, and she carried it on her back the whole time, didn't she get tired? She looked like she didn't want to die. She attacked me six out of seven times." Roman's voice was full of grievance.

"Now, where has she gone?" Wen Bin asked.

"We've entered the desert, heading towards the Ten Thousand Mountains. This Path to Immortality has already spread throughout the Xuan Tian Continent; she must want to join in the fun," Roman said, feigning resentment.

"That's the Xuantian Sword she's carrying. It was a gift from the Xuantian Sect. Carrying it saves her a lot of trouble, as cultivators on the Xuantian Continent have to give the Xuantian Sect face. As for the path to immortality, she probably already guessed it—it's a time tunnel that opens at set times," Wen Bin explained, completely losing his previous air of otherworldly wisdom.

Roland looked at his sister with a dark expression, thinking to himself that he really had put his master in a difficult position. He shouldn't have let his master take his sister as a disciple back then. It was all his fault for being young and ignorant. Yes, young and ignorant.

"Master, is Su An going to use the path to immortality to return to Earth?" Roland asked.

"I don't know, maybe. Let's go, let's go to the Xuan Tian Continent and join in the fun," Wen Bin said.

"So, what about Luo Yifei and Shen Lixi? Should we just leave them on the Floating Life Continent?" Roland asked.

"The path to immortality has spread throughout the Floating Life Continent. Maybe they'll go and join the fun? We'll talk about it later. These two good-for-nothings are hopeless. If they go to the Profound Heaven Continent this time, we can send them and Su An back to Earth together. The Mars tunnel is still open," Wen Bin replied.

“What if they don’t go and join in the fun?” Roland asked.

“Then let’s wait and see what happens when we get to the Floating Life Continent. The tunnel under the South China Sea in the Meng Sea will do for now. The problem is that they might try to take the Path to Immortality once they get to the Ten Thousand Mountains. That would be troublesome. After all, we promised our old friends that Earthlings should be given a chance to take the Path to Immortality,” Wen Bin said.

……

The Xuan Tian Continent, the Ten Thousand Mountains. The territory of the Demon Clan.

"Your Majesty, two otherworldly beings have arrived and have seen the two Soul-Devouring Beasts you have transformed into." A monkey ran into the Demon Queen's cave.

"Let them be, the path to immortality is about to open. What follows will be a once-in-a-millennium calamity for the demon race. Those human cultivators will surely slaughter many of our comrades in order to embark on the path to immortality, especially those demon beasts whose consciousness has not yet awakened. Fortunately, I have found a way to deal with it. I will turn those who are leading the charge into demon beasts. Although each spellcaster will need three days to rest, that will be enough. When the time comes, those of you who can speak must say that you are human. Those who cannot speak, kneel down, and those who can speak will help explain." The demon beast said to the leaders and elders of the demon beasts.

"Your Majesty, this is a disgrace! Why don't we fight them to the death?" said the elder of the Monkey Clan.
