Chapter 4698 X Royal Family: Fierce Battle (Part 4)
In the dust-filled mountains, several superheroes stood in formation before the door of a laboratory hidden in a valley. The smell of gunpowder had not yet dissipated, and the atmosphere had become even more tense.
Until a blue and white figure slowly descended over the battlefield. Stark's nanosuit had undergone several iterations and no longer looked like a heavy iron shell, but rather much lighter and more fitted. It had also long since replaced the faceplate with a holographic projection of data streams covering the face, while the rest of the body was covered with a semi-enclosed head armor made of silver metal, making it look quite different from other Iron Man suits.
Therefore, when he arrived on the battlefield, the Iron Man of this universe didn't recognize him at first. The various factions monitoring the situation also didn't know who he was. It wasn't until he removed the data stream mask, revealing Tony Stark's face, that the truth came to light.
Everyone's expression turned grim.
The appearance of a second Iron Man on Earth was already unbelievable, but now there's another one. One Iron Man was enough of a headache, and now there are three. Every faction wishes this world were a giant match-3 puzzle game, so they could quickly eliminate these three unfortunate creatures!
The good news is that these three Iron Men seem to be unwilling to submit to each other. They haven't joined forces; instead, they're fighting their own battles. The first two each lead an Avengers team, while the last one, seemingly outnumbered, appears to possess superior technology.
Soon, all factions realized that the last blue and white Iron Man to arrive was far more technologically advanced than the previous two. Because, he didn't do anything at all; countless mechanical weapons simply appeared out of thin air.
In fact, it didn't quite emerge; rather, it first transformed into a holographic projection like a data stream, then slowly woven into substance. If someone like Reed, capable of observing the structure of the universe, were present, he would have run incredibly fast, because this method of directly editing the universe's code to create things is very close to creation itself. Making enemies like this is not a wise move.
Unfortunately, because none of the people present had the technological level to accurately observe the universe, they all assumed Stark had used a portal or something similar to create the robots. So instead of running away, they all raised their weapons to fight.
The two Thors made the first move, based on previous experience that Thor's lightning was extremely effective against Iron Man's mechanical creations. Physically speaking, such a powerful current could instantly disable most electronic components. Both Thors raised their hammers, and lightning flashed across the valley.
The mechanical army suddenly transformed into a data stream, rendering them immune to mortal forces. Blue light streaked across the battlefield, coalescing into matter once it reached its designated position. Instantly, a barrage of artillery fire engulfed the entire battlefield.
Just as Strange quietly dominated almost the entire industry, Stark certainly hasn't been idle over the years. He's been no slower than Reed in his quest for the truth of the universe, but while Reed spends most of his time causing trouble, Stark uses that time to upgrade his equipment, perfectly combining cosmology and mechanical engineering to create an "information flow combat system."
Simply put, when not in use, these things are just information codes stored in the armor and have no physical form. But when needed, the code can be converted into matter at any time, and this conversion can also be performed during combat.
When faced with an attack they don't want to engage in, they can switch to data stream code to evade it; when a silent surprise attack is needed, they can switch to code to charge forward; and once they need to reveal themselves to attack, they can immediately transform into physical equipment to unleash firepower; and after the attack is over, they can still transform back into code to return to their armor and reload using code compilation.
In general, this technology is still based on the theory of "information and matter conversion," which Reed has always wanted to apply to all mankind. However, it is much safer to use it on machines, as it does not involve ethical issues and achieves an effect as if the creator has descended to earth.
The Avengers below were completely unprepared for this move and were instantly scattered and fled. However, they were also skilled fighters, and both Captain Americas immediately realized they had to attack Stark's main body. With two whooshing sounds, two shields flew towards Stark with unstoppable force.
Stark instantly deployed his armor. His suit wasn't just for distributing information; its performance was also exceptional. He deftly rose into the air to dodge the shields, and more mechanical equipment appeared behind him.
This time, it wasn't just bombardment drones; there were two Mother Nests that produced self-propelled ground armor. The Mother Nests didn't need to land; they hovered in the air, continuously dropping mechs downwards. Most of the mechs were older versions of Iron Man suits.
"What the hell!" The local Iron Man looked up at the mechs. Besides the gold and red ones, there were blue and white ones, purple and gold ones, red and blue ones, and gold and silver ones. Instantly, hundreds of different colored Iron Men appeared on the field, and they all opened their hand cannons.
"Get out of the way!" Captain America shouted. "Get out of the way!"
"Boom boom boom boom boom!"
Another barrage of attacks ensued. The Avengers scrambled for cover, but Stark seized the moment when they lost their formation, executing a fluid maneuver that darted through the Avengers and layers of vegetation like a butterfly, and flew into the laboratory.
"Stop him! Stop him now!"
Everyone present wanted to stop him, but the problem was they couldn't. Doctor Strange had already used magic to attack the mechs, but once they transformed into information form, Doctor Strange was helpless; his magic couldn't reach the code. Then the mechs surrounded him again, and to protect his teammates, Doctor Strange couldn't chase Stark.
As the mechs drew ever closer, two shouts of "Hulk!!!" rang out almost simultaneously. The Hulk leaped from the crowd, hurtling towards the mechs, but was still nimbly dodged.
The Hulk intended to jump onto the Mother Nest and smash it, but while he did manage to jump, the Mother Nest vanished in a flash, turning into a stream of information. The Hulk crashed heavily to the ground, still somewhat dazed when he got up. He looked up at the empty sky, wondering if he was hallucinating.
While everyone else fought valiantly against the mechs and mechanical army, only two Spider-Men managed to sneak out of the lab amidst the chaos.
“Hey, who are you?” the local Spider-Man said.
“I’m from the main universe,” said the Spider-Man from the main universe. “Which one are you?”
The other Spider-Man glanced around furtively, then pulled out his phone and showed the main Spider-Man his Spider-App page.
"Oh, I remember you. You're the guy with the anniversary profile picture frame. You shared that apple pie recipe last week and it went viral, right?"
“That’s right.” The local Spider-Man nodded. “Let’s add each other as friends.”
After they finished speaking, they scanned each other's QR codes to add each other as friends, and together they slipped into the lab. As soon as the door closed, they both breathed a sigh of relief.
"My God, you have no idea how crazy they are!"
"I'm telling you, they're absolutely insane!"
The two spoke in unison, looked at each other, and simultaneously let out a scream.
"No way, it's like that where you are too?"
"Could it be that your Avengers are also...?"
The local Spider-Man sighed and said, "You have no idea, Mr. Stark actually contacted the Royal Guard of the Shi'ar Empire in order to get the outer defense technology of the Red Gate Orchid Factory, hoping to get a way to break it from them. It's like asking a tiger for its skin!"
"Don't even mention it. My Iron Man from that universe was the same. He almost sent Doctor Strange to the Shi'ar Empire to get technology, thankfully it didn't work out. They're absolutely insane!"
“I don’t know what to do either,” the local Spider-Man said. “If we don’t let Stark Industries get the factory, then letting the US government and military get it won’t end well either! Whoever gets the factory will just use it to attack others, right?”
Spider-Man from the main universe was also troubled. He scratched his head and said, "It seems better to let Iron Man from your universe have it. At least he won't use this thing to destroy the Earth."
"Could it be that your universe wants to..."
"The main purpose of Iron Man controlling the Redgate Orchid factory in the main universe is to threaten you and mutants with the master model. He calls it mediation, but he really wants to bring you under the control of the main universe."
"What?!" the local Spider-Man exclaimed in shock. "How could they do this?!"
“It was the mutants who asked for help,” the Spider-Man from the main universe sighed. “They have a legitimate reason to ask for help.”
“I told you we should help the mutants,” the local Spider-Man said, frowning. “But Captain America and Nick Fury both thought it wasn’t necessary. I had a bad feeling when the mutant team was wiped out. I didn’t expect them to drag the multiverse into this. That Iron Man with the different color is from another universe, right?”
"That's from the central universe. Haven't you seen him before?"
“Oh, it’s him. I’ve never seen him wear armor before.” The local Spider-Man shook his head and said, “He doesn’t seem to wear armor often. I thought Iron Man always wore the same color scheme.”
"What are you planning to do?" the Spider-Man from the main universe asked.
"I don't think it's a good idea for our Iron Man to get his hands on the Redgate Orchid factory. Those who are worried he'll use it to fight others will go crazy and hunt him down. They might start a world war!"
At this point, the local universe Spider-Man paused for a moment, then said, "How about letting the central universe's Iron Man take control? He won't cause trouble, and he's strong enough that no one can do anything to him."
The Spider-Man from the main universe shook his head and said, "The problem is that the central universe doesn't practice interventionism. The Iron Man from the central universe isn't here to rule the Earth either."
"Then why did he join that fight?" the local Spider-Man asked, somewhat puzzled.
The Spider-Man from the main universe shook his head and said, "I don't know either, but they probably have some other plans. He doesn't need the factory's technology or its deterrent power. I think it would be difficult for you to get him to take over the Redgate Orchid factory."
“I have to find a way to convince him,” the local Spider-Man said. “Only when he takes control of the factory and demonstrates enough power can this terrible situation be quelled. There is no other way.”
“Then give it a try,” said the Spider-Man from the main universe. “Although I don’t think the chances are very high… Oh, there he is.”
The Spider-Man from the main universe looked at Stark, who was standing in the center of the laboratory. The lab director and several researchers were facing off against him with guns drawn. The two Spider-Men stopped in their tracks, not daring to go in, worried about provoking the researchers.
They weren't worried about the bullets harming Iron Man in the central universe, but the lab wasn't large, and ricocheting bullets could easily injure them. It was best not to appear rashly.
“Don’t you understand? You’ve been abandoned,” Stark sighed. “How could we have found this place if no one had betrayed us?”
"Then we will never hand over control of the Red Gate Orchid Factory to you! You bunch of cross-dressing lunatics!" the supervisor said agitatedly, brandishing a gun. "You won't get any technical data from me!"
“Unfortunately, I don’t need technical data, Schiller.” Stark called out, turning around. A portal appeared behind him, and Magneto emerged.
“Please,” Stark told the researchers. “Believe me, walking out the door will not end any better than accepting the mutants’ invitation.”
